Repeat Prescriptions

green_pill_spillPatients on regular medication will require repeat prescriptions and, for a safer and speedier service, repeat prescriptions are now computerised. Your doctor will have entered what medication you are taking on the computer, and each time a new prescription is written by the computer a new request form is also generated for you to make your next request.

For medico-legal reasons, prescription requests for repeat prescriptions are not taken over the telephone as errors can occur in verbal communication.

Prescriptions will be ready for collection 48 hours (i.e. two working days) after being requested (this may be longer if you ask for the prescription to go to a specific chemist - see below).

If you have more than one repeat prescription, please try to order all your items together.

If you wish for us to post your prescription back to you, please enclose a stamped, addressed envelope with your request.

You may also request for your prescription to be sent to a particular local pharmacy (St Annes, Boots, Bakers, or Wyborns in Lewes or Lloyds at Ringmer) please ensure you indicate this clearly on your request form.

If you are requesting medication which is not on your form, please add this clearly on the request slip and it will be added after verification with the doctor.

The Practice now offers patients the chance to request their repeat prescriptions online.

If you are interested in signing up for this service, please complete the form below and bring it in to our Reception Team, along with two forms of ID (one must be photographic ID, e.g. Driver's licence).  Once the form has been received, the Receptionists will send out a letter with details of your registration for the service.
