Family Planning
All forms of family planning, including fitting of implants and
caps, are offered by consultation during normal surgery hours. Emergency hormonal contraception can,
however, be obtained from the FPC, telephone Brighton 01273 242091 and Eastbourne 01323 444166, also the
Minor Injuries department at the Victoria Hospital, Lewes 01273 474153.
Coil Clinics
The practice holds two coil fitting clinics per month, usually on a Tuesday and Thursday. To make an appointment, please ensure you have seen the GP to discuss having a coil fitted before booking in to the clinic.
Cervical Smears
First invitation will be at 25 years and then every three years
up to the age of 49. Between 50-65 the interval is every five years. For the over 65s, we only screen those
not screened since age 50 or those who have had recent abnormal smears. Smear tests are performed during
normal surgery hours; please inform reception if you are making an appointment for a smear test, as a
lengthier consultation is needed. You can see any of the practice nurses.
Diabetic Clinics
These are held at both surgeries on Wednesday mornings by appointment.
